Presentation Topic:  “ Towards Intelligent Additive Manufacturing: Simulation at the Core of Digital Twins ”.

Abstract:

Additive Manufacturing opens new possibilities for innovative products, from lightweight industrial components to patient-specific medical devices, but bringing challenging parts from concept to reliable production remains complex.

This presentation explores how simulation can reduce development risk across the AM workflow, from design and manufacturability assessment to process optimization, part performance and quality.

Examples from different AM technologies and industries, including medical applications, will illustrate how simulation can reduce reliance on physical trials, identify manufacturing risks and support first-time-right production.

Finally, we will examine how AI can make simulation more accessible and efficient, helping startups and established manufacturers accelerate innovation and AM adoption.
