Dr. Ashok Dhoble

Dr. Ashok D. Dhoble is a distinguished dental professional, orthodontist and healthcare leader who has made significant contributions to dentistry and public oral health in India. He serves as the Honorary Secretary General of the Indian Dental Association (IDA), the national professional organisation representing dental practitioners across the country.

Dr. Dhoble graduated from Government Dental College and Hospital, Mumbai, in 1980 and pursued postgraduate specialisation in orthodontics. He is a Fellow of the International College of Dentists and has extensive experience in clinical dentistry, professional leadership and dental association management.

During his tenure with IDA, he has been associated with initiatives focused on oral health awareness, continuing dental education, professional development and the promotion of science-based dental care. The association also works to strengthen public awareness of oral diseases, including oral cancer, and encourages preventive healthcare practices.

Dr. Dhoble has represented the Indian dental profession in international forums, including the FDI World Dental Federation, where he has served as a councillor. He has also contributed to international dental collaboration through his association with the Commonwealth Dental Association.
